I decided to create a review page and Rich As F*ck has been chosen as my first review.

I knew I wanted a money-type book that was written by a woman. I also did not want it to be outdated.

Amazon decided to show me:

Rich As F*ck: More Money Than You Know What to Do With

Written by Amanda Frances.

I had never heard of Amanda Frances.

It was a very easy read and I was able to complete it in one day. Kindle told me it was about four and half hours worth of reading and I had a pretty free day so I was determined to get it done.

Once I started reading, I was hesitant at first. The idea of money gravitating towards me as long as I willed it, seemed a little far fetched. However, as I kept reading on, I understood more of what she was saying. I tried keeping an open mind and that helped.

I researched this some and I feel like I’ve kind of kept myself sheltered from this concept. Perhaps if I had already been introduced in “opening my arms to money”, I would not have been so hesitant as I started reading.

I really enjoyed her tone throughout the book. I found a lot of similarities between how I speak to people and how she was speaking to me as the reader and I appreciated it.

There are “homework” questions at the end of each chapter. Although I was in the salon for the majority of the read and didn’t have a pen and paper to answer the questions, I did answer them to myself. I started the book thinking I would skip over reading these at the end of each chapter as soon as I heard her mention there would be homework. However, I enjoyed reading the questions and coming up with my own answers.

She mentioned a mental money shift being able to happen when people dive into online courses or books or community. I related to that.

I have to say I was able to follow the second half of the book more than the first. I thought the first half was coming after me in a way. She pointed out some really specific things that I believe in (or have written about) and said that was the completely wrong way to think. I laughed out loud. (Specifically speaking about “If you’re somewhere working, you aren’t spending money.” line in my No Month Spending Challenge article)

I continued on reading as I thought her opinions were very interesting and I really enjoyed reading a “money book” that was out of the norm.

She goes on later to talk about spending money. I’m squinting a little bit right now recalling the way I initially felt. I got the impression that she felt the way she did about spending because she can basically buy almost anything she wants and her current bank account can support it. It didn’t feel like she was speaking to the majority of the people that would be reading her book. Then I got to a part where she speaks about “intentionally spending” and it all made much better sense.

Overall, her comforting, supportive tone was a joy to read and I appreciate someone who makes their reader feel like a close friend. She’s really likeable.

Definitely a book I’m glad I picked up and read. If you’re having trouble getting through the first half or uncertain if its up your alley like I was, know that the second half was spot on for me. It actually gave me some ideas I plan to look into for my personal growth.

I will say that she is an intriguing person and I find her personal story pretty fascinating.
