Don’t judge me, but prior to this planner, I kept a few folded up pieces of paper in the top drawer of my dresser next to my bed with life insurance information and last wishes.
I knew this was really half-assing it so I began looking for somewhere I could keep all this information.
I came across:
Peace Of Mind Planner: Important Information About My Belongings, Business Affairs, And Wishes
Author: Peter Pauper Press Inc.
Straight out of the package I loved the fact that it was spiral and I could place it all the way down on my desk while I write in it. Even better – it has a hard cover. I wrote in the book without anything smearing, which I also sincerely appreciate.
There’s a lot to this journal. It was a bit overkill for the information I needed to put somewhere. However, I would much rather it be too much information than not enough.
Why This Was Exactly What I Was Looking For
There were SO many things that I wasn’t giving proper information on. I feel like many of us have accounts in multiple places. We need someone to guide us through what information we should be providing. (Note that this does not replace a will)
I had not thought to give my user name and passwords to all of my open accounts. Simple things like an investment account that no one would know that I had if I didn’t provide that information. Also providing the user name and password will allow whoever is left after me to gain easy entry. There are line items in the books for all of this information. It’s also nicely laid out with tabs.
I wrote down all the information I had previously kept scattered on multiple hand written pages. All of the information on those pages had available lines in this planner.
Here’s a rundown of the sections in the book:
- My Personal Information
- My Medical Information
- Key Contact Information
- At The Time of My Passing
- My Dependents
- Important Documents
- Financial Information
- Commercial/Business Information
- What Beneficiaries Can Expect
- Personal Property
- Insurance
- My Pets
- What to Pay, Close, and Cancel
- Email and Social Media
- Miscellaneous Information
- My Personal Wishes
- Last Words
Some of these I skipped – Like Commercial/Business Information and multiple line items under certain topics.
I would rather the planner offer me too many options than not enough, and this planner did just that. Honestly, I have nothing but great things to say.
I do have to say that I switched to pencil after writing in pen for a while. I began to realize that some of this information may change over time. I may just have to purchase another planner in 10 years or so if I’m still around. However, you can’t beat the price and I wouldn’t mind paying it again in the future.
I’ve told my family where this book is (top right drawer in my bedroom – shocking) so they have all the information if something does happen to me. It is definitely a feeling of added security.
If you need some peace of mind – which I did – this is the planner for you.

A planner is a great idea! That is something I will definitely recommend to my clients with final expense policies.
Thank you!!
I ordered 2 and got them today 😊
I can’t wait to hand them to my clients.
Oh that makes me so happy!!
