I’m on a roll, guys – it’s my second month back-to-back writing a traffic and income report update!

I got away from writing these for 6+ months because I was feeling pretty down about the website.

I’ve been having a pretty good start to the year so I decided to pick these back up!

In July 2025, I was hit hard by (what I believe) was a Google core update.

I had been feeling discouraged ever since. I was little page 1 on so many of my articles and now I’m only page one when it comes to outside of the US traffic.

Since I’m based in the United States, my audience is really geared towards working moms who also reside in the US.

So it was disappointing not being able to reach that audience. However, I’m doing what I do best and lifting myself up in other ways and trying not to concentrate on the bad parts.

Spoiler: In April, I grew my traffic to 3,336 total visitors and earned $131.16 from my blog and Etsy shop. Most of my traffic came from Pinterest, and I’m starting to see consistent sales from my digital products.

In this update, just like before, I’m going to share with you the following:

  • April 2026 Traffic (compared mostly to March 2026 since that’s the only other update I’ve done this year)
  • Social Media Updates
  • Challenges
  • Successes
  • Income for April 2026
  • Any future website goals

Let’s go!

April 2026 Traffic

March 2026 had 8,900 Total Impressions from Google. March Total Google Clicks – 57.

Yes, it’s a little sad but whatever – I’m sharing with you the good and the bad.

Current month info:

April 2026 had 14,500 Total Impressions from Google. April also had 73 clicks.

So that’s quite the improvement!

Here’s a snippet of the last 6 months:

See that weird spike around April 18th? I spiked for a really weird keyword that isn’t very relevant to my pages. It was odd.

Honestly, I’m just glad Google is showing something even if clicks aren’t coming from it.

Now let’s look at total visits from all sources, not just Google:

Total visitors by month last four months:

  • January 2026 – 4,174
  • February 2026 – 2,524
  • March 2026 – 2,468
  • April 2026 – 3,336

I’m still running a Pinterest ad that cost me $150 a month so this is where a lot of the visitors came from.

Yay for going up in April though!

Click Sources in April:

  • Pinterest – 2,899
  • All search engines – 228 (was 153 for the previous month)
  • The rest is random sources

Social Media Updates

I love Pinterest so much. 😭

Still at 112 followers – just like I was at last month. Yay for not losing any!

I haven’t been pinning as much as I was at the beginning of the year. I need to get back at it.

I’ve been concentrating a lot on Etsy and just posting one article a week.

I just love how the Pinterest community brings positivity.

Challenges

Nothing new.

I’ve learned how to not stress about the little things and make my goals achievable.

I work full time and have a kid still in high school and one in college. Those things take priority over the website.

My only standing goal is to post one article a week. The rest of what I do is simply gravy.

So challenges are the same as they have been:

  • Pinning consistently on Pinterest
  • Fighting the drop in US traffic on Google

Successes

My Etsy shop is doing so well!

I’ve sold a total of 17 items since I started a few months ago and I couldn’t be more proud of myself.

My Birthday Party Planner (which I created after writing this party planning post) is still my biggest seller but now I’ve sold two of my Disney Planners!

I love Disney so much so I was really excited to make that planner. I’m super proud of it.

I’m working on expanding my party planning section. I think creating one new item per month is a decent goal.

The other success I had this month was posting every Sunday. I used to struggle with that so much and now it’s become a habit.

April 2026 Income

Here we go….

Income Breakdown by Month for 2026:

  • January & February – I didn’t add this up. I know it’s very similar to March.
  • March – $99.55
  • April – $131.16

Journey Ad profit: $86.46

Amazon Affiliate Links: $9.62 ….Wow…. this is the second month under $10. I used to be so good at this.

Etsy – $20.58

All other miscellaneous affiliates: $14.50

Total in April: $131.16

Yay for now!! But I know my expenses were more than that so I’m in the hole.

On to expenses.

I don’t have many monthly expenses. I purchased Divi Lifetime Membership as my theme in 2023 and I’m so thankful I did.

Currently, I spend $29 on Sellfy to sell digital products. I’m actually getting use of this now that I’m creating digital items to sell!

Etsy expenses were a little high because I started running a marketing campaign. $18.96 total.

$29.50 for WordPress.

For subscriber/email list, I use Kit, which is free!

RankIQ – I sadly dropped this because I’m not making any profit right now.

I like RankIQ so much, I wrote an entire review on it here, but it will have to wait.

Pinterest ad – $150.00 (yeah I know)

Total expenses = $227.46 (a little pricier this month compared to last month because I had taken Etsy expenses out of profit – I didn’t do that this month because I think we all need to see it broken out)

I lost about $100, which I’m fine with. Actually, I’m happy because it’s about $15 less than what I lost last month.

Again, I’m ok losing $100 per month for maybe something greater one day.

Goals

Make more stuff to sell.

Post every Sunday.

Keep beefing up Etsy. Create some bundles with my products. Take my larger planners and break them up into smaller, cheaper options.

I’m not going to make a marketing email goal because I never keep it. I’ve never sent my subscribers one email. One day I’ll actually do this.

I want to write about my selling experience on Etsy and what it was like to open a shop. My goal is either to write that as my next article. If something else pops up before then, I at least want to write that article in the month of May.

Final Thoughts

Super excited about losing less this month than I did last month!

I really enjoy writing these articles and I hope I continue.

Sometimes I think I’m losing a thousand dollars a month. I like putting all of this in writing so I can see that I’m actually not doing as bad as I think I am.

I am my hardest critic.
